We are seeking an experienced Partnerships Lead to strengthen and expand our acquiring network. This role is responsible for sourcing and managing acquiring partnerships, optimizing channel performance and profitability, and ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of our payment infrastructure. The successful candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, a strong professional network, and a proven track record of building strategic partnerships in the high-risk payments ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the required capacity and availability of solution providers and payment channels.
- Ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of existing company products, solutions, and channels.
- Manage and optimize supplier and product cost structures to maximize gross margin.
- Continuously evaluate channel performance, pricing, and risk exposure to support profitability.
- Develop and maintain sustainable supplier relationships to ensure long-term channel stability.
- Balance commercial objectives, operational risks, and channel resilience when making sourcing and optimization decisions.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve channel efficiency, competitiveness, and profitability.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the high-risk acquiring industry.
- Established professional network and industry contacts within the payments and acquiring ecosystem.
- Proven track record in a similar role within card acquiring, payments, or fintech.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, negotiate, and lead the onboarding of acquiring channels, including:
- Conducting commercial negotiations.
- Negotiating and executing partnership agreements.
- Presenting and defending business cases before internal approval committees.
- Coordinating and overseeing partner integration processes.
- Coordinating reconciliation and settlement processes with partners.
- Experience managing channel routing and optimizing transaction flows.
- Strong forecasting and reporting skills, including the ability to provide regular updates on current channel status, supplier onboarding pipelines, and projected provider capacity.
- Solid understanding of card acquiring, payment processing, risk considerations, and partner management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
