We’re looking for a Lead Full-stack Engineer to guide our talented team at the intersection of product, technology, and operations. In this role, you’ll set technical direction, mentor engineers, remove blockers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions in our fast-moving fintech environment. You’ll work hands-on across the stack - from crafting intuitive React + TypeScript frontends to building robust Node.js/NestJS backends - while shaping architecture, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation in global payments.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the team is working towards a common goal, understands their tasks and has everything they need to complete them.
- Help the PO plan and design features
- Timely delivery of features and fixes according to the company standards
- Ensure stable operations and handle production issues
- Implement changes and fixes in third party tools (e.g. Superset, Airflow)
- Configure the infrastructure according to project requirements
- Release changes to production in a safe and reliable manner
- Keep the technical documentation useful and up to date
- Contribute to DB schema design
Requirements
Must-Have:
- Proven 2+ years experience in leading an engineering team, setting priorities, removing blockers, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews.
- Active participation in requirement clarification, feature design, estimation, and architecture discussions. (we're working in Scrumban: we have daily standups, weekly backlog grooming sessions and sprint reviews.)
- Participation in requirement clarification, feature design and estimation
- You have experience with: our current state:
- React and TypeScript on the frontend (40%)
- TypeScript, Node.js, preferably NestJS on the backend (60%)
- AWS, Docker, and preferably Terraform
- MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience in implementing observability and production support
- Test automation on a unit test and integration test level
- Being able to collaborate with other tech teams, business teams and external partners
- Speaking English proficiently
Nice to Have:
- Experience in working with payment processing, crypto or banking products
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with application security and SSDLC
- Experience of using AI tools for development
- Approach to maintaining useful documentation
- Experience with BI tools
- Experience with Airflow
- Preferable knowledge of Russian language
