We’re looking for a
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial strategy, operations, and control across our company. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring financial stability, accurate reporting, and operational excellence while driving profitability, scalability, and compliance. You’ll oversee everything from forecasting, treasury, and settlements to automation and systems design, building a finance function that enables sustainable growth.
As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll partner closely with product, technology, and commercial teams to shape decisions, protect margins, and ensure the company is positioned for long-term success.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Control
- Own revenue forecasting, scenario planning, and budgeting.
- Ensure cost visibility and daily OPEX control.
Settlements & Reconciliation
- Oversee daily acquirer reconciliation and fee validation.
- Ensure acquirer and merchant settlements are calculated, executed, and received on time.
Treasury & Liquidity
- Maintain real-time cash visibility and group-wide liquidity.
- Prevent delays/shortages in operational and settlement needs.
Profitability & Commercial Finance
- Analyze deals, pricing, and routing to protect margins.
- Set financial boundaries for commercial decisions.
Accounting & Reporting
- Guarantee accurate bookkeeping and classification across all entities.
- Deliver timely month-end close (by 5th business day).
- Produce accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and consolidated group reporting.
Systems & Automation
- Drive finance productisation: transition from spreadsheets to automated systems (Backoffice, Sage, BI, APIs).
Leadership & Team Development
- Build a structured, accountable finance function.
- Ensure team ownership, talent growth, and alignment with company priorities.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a CFO or Senior Finance Leader in FinTech, payments, or B2B SaaS startup/scale-up environments.
- Strong ability to partner with tech/product teams to design scalable internal systems; high attention to detail with a builder’s mindset (Excel -> BI -> APIs).
- Experienced in treasury management, acquirer flows, and reconciliation logic.
- Skilled in driving profitability, protecting margins, and enabling growth through data-driven financial insights and inter-company tax optimisation.
- Comfortable leading lean teams while structuring scalable finance organisations; strong leadership and interpersonal skills with focus on open communication and collaboration.
